This will open the Email dialogue box.

In the dialogue box, click on "Account Actions" followed by "Add mail Account"

Type in your name, email address, email password and tick a box to remember password.

Click on "Continue" and wait for configuration check to finish.

Click "Edit" and modify the following:

User name: your full email address

Incoming server: qmail.irishdomains.com

set protocol to *EITHER*: POP, with port number 995 and encryption SSL or SSL/TLS., *OR*: IMAP, with port number 993 and encryption SSL or SSL/TLS..

Outgoing server: qmail.irishdomains.com: protocol SMTP, with port number 587 and encryption STARTTLS.

Click on "re-test configuration" and wait for process to finish.

Click "Create account" to save configuration and start using your emails.

Note: For security our mail servers require authentication when sending mail. This feature must also be enabled within Outlook.

Click "Outgoing Server (SMTP)", select your server at the top right and click "Edit"

Make sure the settings are as follows:

Description: qmail.irishdomains.com

Server name: qmail.irishdomains.com

Port: 587

Connection security: STARTTLS

Authentication method: Password, transmitted insecurely

User Name: your full email address

Click OK to save changes and OK again to go back to your inbox.

Your email account is now set up in Mozilla Thunderbird, press 'Get Mail' to pick up any new messages.

Please note that if there were any messages waiting to send in your outbox, you should open each one and resend to ensure the new settings are used.

The exact procedure may vary depending on your email software and version. If you are using the older name pemlinmail1.irishdomains.com for incoming or outgoing mail server - this is OK, both will work.
