If you don’t remember the password for your Control Panel

Go to the Control panel login page (

Click on the “Forgotten Password” link on the Control panel login page

Enter your account login (username)

Click on "Submit" button

(your login/username can be found on most automated correspondance you receive from Irish Domains, eg, Renewal reminders, Invoices etc.)

An automated email will be sent to the contact email address for the account containing a link enabling you to reset the password.

Important information about resetting your Control Panel Password

The link contained in the email that you receive is valid for 1 hour only. You can if necessary, use the "Forgotten Password" link again to generate a new email.

Have your new password ready and written down in advance. The password security requirements** are necessarily strict as your control panel contains access to your financial records, email accounts, hosting and other subscriptions.  (See Choosing a secure password)

If your password is changed successfully, a confirmation message will be displayed on the page.

If after inputting your new password, you do not see a confirmation message, or if you receive a message indicating that the password is not secure enough, you must click on the link contained in the email again to refresh the page before you attempt to input a new password again.

**Requirements for passwords on our system:-

If there are only three different types of characters, minimum length is 8. If password is word-based, or there are less than three different types of characters, minimum length is 10. If there are no different character types in password, minimal length is 12.
